Cancer bus to pay return visit

by isleofman.com 13th May 2009

A mobile cancer information service returns to the Isle of Man next week, after what the Health Service says was a highly successful visit last year.

The Macmillan Cancer Information Bus gave over 160 people advice and support when it was here in July 2008.

The bus will be in the Shoprite car parks between 10am and 4pm, in Peel on Monday, Ramsey on Tuesday, and Port Erin on Wednesday.

It will complete its schedule with a six hour stint in Regents Street, Douglas from 10am on Thursday.

Macmillan staff will be on hand to give information on signs and symptoms and specific types of cancer, details on local support organisations and practical advice about living with the illness.
