by isleofman.com 13th May 2009

A 15 year-old Ballakermeen High School student has been crowned Young Dancer of Mann 2009, just seven months after taking up contemporary dancing.

Lloyd Mayor, who had never choreographed a routine before, competed against eleven other young dancers performing in a variety of styles.

As part of his prize, Lloyd will travel to the United Kingdom where he will take a class of his choice.

Dance group Ny Fennee came second, and were presented with vouchers for dancewear.
