Carrier bags back in the spotlight

There are calls for a ban on plastic bags in shops in the Island.

Castletown Commissioners discussed the idea at a recent meeting, after receiving a letter from the southern branch of the environmental group Transition Isle of Man.

The issue was discussed on Manx Radio's Talking Heads, with Andrew Jessop, from Zero Waste Mann, saying people should recycle old bags:
