Local charity worker meets African king

A Ballasalla man has been rubbing shoulders with royalty in Africa during a ten-day fact-finding trip on behalf of a charity.

Don Kane, a retired insurance company manager, went to Lesotho as an ambassador for Send a Cow, which provides agricultural help to developing countries.

During his trip he met King Letsie III, while touring some of the projects the organisation has supported.

Don says meeting His Majesty was a memory he will treasure:
