Despite less than ideal weather yesterday (Saturday), children gathered to take part in the Island’s biggest youth sporting event.
The Manx Youth Games saw 1,200 youngsters aged between eight and 15 competing in 11 sports.
Rain and wind couldn’t stop the festivities, which kicked off when Department of Tourism and Leisure member with responsibility for sport, Quintin Gill, officially opened the games.
He said the day introduced children to new sports – but it was really about one thing.
