by isleofman.com 9th May 2009

Peel and St Mary’s will clash in the final of the JCK Ltd Junior Cup.

That’s after they won two exciting semi-finals on Saturday.

Peel were 5-2 home winners over St George's.

Daniel Bell fired the westerners ahead and doubled their lead before the break.

Ryan Holdaway sealed their place after the break and, although Brian Gartland came off the bench
to pull one back, Peel soon restored their three goal advantage.

Andy Bass pulled another one back for St George’s before Lee Gale scored Peel’s fifth.

At Ramsey a week today (May 16), they will meet St Mary’s who were given a scare at Combination Two Castletown.

Brian Crellin put the Saints in front at the break before Jonathan Pooley equalised for Town in the second half.

However, Richard Foden restored the Saints’ advantage and Crellin added another one before Pooley’s second gave Town hope.

Michael fought back from 2-0 down at half-time to draw 2-2 at home with Gymns in Sure Mobile Combination One.

John Birch and Chris Hancox were their scorers.

In a friendly, the Isle of Man national side won 6-1 at Cammell Laird in Liverpool.

Two goals from Corinthians’ Stephen Glover and one apiece from Rushen duo Aaron Hawley and Josh Kelly, as well as a Chris Bass junior goal and a Kevin Megson penalty, secured a comfortable victory.
