by isleofman.com 9th May 2009

An 18 year-old man who possessed cannabis bush has been given an eight month prison sentence suspended for two years.

Jamie Gordon McMurdo, of Harcroft Meadows in Douglas, appeared for sentence after admitting possessing the drug and possessing it with intent to supply.

He committed the offences between March 18 and 22.

McMurdo's advocate said he had shown enormous remorse, had no previous convictions and was still young.

High Bailiff Michael Moyle said the matter was serious, McMurdo knew what he was doing and he was doing it for profit.
