An MHK is calling for the Chief Minister's Drug and Alcohol Strategy to be split.
Rushen member Quintin Gill believes separate approaches would be more effective, as different methods are needed for dealing with illegal and permitted substances.
He's a vocal critic of the strategy in its current form, saying it's done little, if anything, to justify the ?5.4 million of taxpayers' money which has been spent on it to date.
Mr Gill believes more should be done to provide direct support for people who have drink and drug problems:
