Quality beaches - Mandate interview

This year's Blue Flag Beach Awards are out, and numbers are down around Britain.

However, the Isle of Wight has some and beaches in the Northwest region, including Blackpool south and St Annes Pier, have been given QCAs or Quality Coast Awards.

The Isle of Man has no flags, not least because it doesn't enter the scheme to have its beaches assessed.

On Mandate at One, Howard Caine asked Dickie Felton, from organisers Keep Britain Tidy, why the Island wasn't involved (extended audio file):
