A Ramsey man who pleaded guilty to a string of motoring offences has been jailed for three months by the High Bailiff, Michael Moyle.
Twenty-seven year-old Jason Andrew Smith admitted taking his boss's van without permission, drink driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without insurance.
He crashed the vehicle into a car which then hit other vehicles.
When Smith was arrested his alcohol blood level was almost three times the legal limit.
His advocate said he did not remember much until he woke up in the police station, and was ashamed of his actions.
In addition to his prison sentence, Smith was banned from driving for three years.
