Resident in the Belmont Terrace area of Douglas have been describing what they saw, when police found a man's body in a flat there earlier today.
The death is being treated as suspicious and the front and rear of the property have been cordoned off.
A Home Office pathologist is due to travel to the Island to carry out a post mortem examination.
