by isleofman.com 30th April 2009

Tribute is being paid to a young boy from Laxey who has died, aged seven.

Dominic Black-Kay, who suffered from a number of conditions, including cerebral palsy and severe epilepsy, passed away on Sunday.

A statement from Auldyn Infants School in Ramsey, which Dominic attended, describes him as: "a truly exceptional pupil who was ambitious, inquisitive and friendly".

It goes on to say: "his infectious laughter and positive attitude to life were an example to everyone who knew him and he will be sorely missed.

"His sense of humour, combined with great determination and a willingness to try anything and everything impressed and affected everyone who came into contact with him.

Dominic's funeral will be next Tuesday (May 5), at All Saints' Church in Lonan.
