The Isle of Man has large enough stocks of anti-viral medicine to tackle swine flu.
Acting director of public health Dr Paul Emerson says being able to treat half the Island's children and a quarter of adults should be adequate, should the virus get here.
However, the Department of Health isn't stopping there (play attached audio file):
Meanwhile, posters and flyers aimed at people who have returned to the Isle of Man from affected areas are to be placed at various locations including the airport, ports, GP surgeries and hospitals.
The advice is that people who develop flu symptoms within seven days of visiting affected areas should contact their GP by phone. They should stay at home and limit their contact with others.
Relevant symptoms are a fever above 38 degrees, a cough, sore throat and muscle aches.
