by isleofman.com 28th April 2009

The House of Keys sits this morning (Tuesday) and there are a number of topics up for discussion, including road closures for the TT and water rates.

Overall there are eight oral questions and three for written reply.

Douglas North MHK John Houghton will be asking the Minister for Tourism and Leisure why he decided to close the roads an hour earlier than usual during TT practice week.

There's a question on the Manx Electric Railway by Michael MHK David Cannan - he wants to know why the temporary closure of the line between Laxey and Ramsey last year wasn't the subject of a Tynwald motion.

Public sector pensions will be discussed - Onchan MHK Peter Karran wants a statement to be made on the ?12 million pound shortfall.

Other subjects to be raised include untaxed vehicles, the Terrorism (Finance) Bill and CCTV in the Isle of Man.

Keys gets underway at 10am with the Legislative Council also sitting at ten thirty.
