Drug and alcohol strategy defended

by isleofman.com 27th April 2009

South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey is defending the Chief Minister's Drug and Alcohol Strategy in the wake of stinging remarks by a fellow MHK.

Rushen MHK Quintin Gill is unconvinced the Strategy is working effectively and even goes as far as saying it is 'expensive political window dressing'.

But Mr Malarkey who has political responsibility for the initiative has responded by saying those comments are 'nonsense'.

He's sticking to his guns over the Strategy and the Alcohol Advisory Service and says both are doing their job.
