Hockey Girls get Northern Call

by isleofman.com 24th April 2009

Two Manx Hockey players have been selected for the North of England Under-21 squad.

Steph Lace and Zoe Shimmin have been attending selection training sessions and were told they had made the grade at the last gathering in Leeds.

Steph is in with a chance of playing against Scotland but Zoe will be the non-travelling reserve.

Two other players - Helen Thomas and Sarah Blackman - missed out on being picked after not being able to attend all the training sessions.
