Government set to examine options for Onchan site?

Onchan MHK Peter Karran says he is confident the government will look into his proposals for a building in the village.

He says that's why he withdrew a Tynwald motion asking the Department of Local Government and the Environment to negotiate with Hartford Homes over the site, at the top of Royal Avenue.

Mr Karren wants to see it used to provide 'independent living' accommodation for young disabled people, and to ease the housing waiting list.

He says it's a project which is greatly needed at the moment:
