Sentence on a 35 year-old man who seriously injured another man in a fight has been adjourned by High Bailiff Michael Moyle for reports.
Darren Keith Walker, of Loch Promenade in Douglas, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm.
Inspector Andrew Turner, prosecuting, said the defendant and another man, Patrick McArthy, got involved in an argument in Duke Street, Douglas on February 26, which resulted in Mr McArthy being punched seven or eight times.
Both men ended up on the ground and Walker kicked Mr McArthy in the head before walking off, leaving him with serious facial injuries.
Walker was arrested on March 6.
Mr Moyle warned him custody was very likely, but granted him bail to appear again on May 12.
