Chief Minister Tony Brown is welcoming a Progress Report on the review which is being carried out into British offshore financial centres, including the Isle of Man.
The work is being undertaken by Michael Foot, following the announcement of the exercise by United Kingdom Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
The Isle of Man is one of nine jurisdictions being examined, with others including Jersey and Guernsey.
Tony Brown has said that the Isle of Man regards the review as a wholly appropriate action, given the unprecedented global financial turmoil affecting all economies.
The report will put certain issues out to consultation, including whether more should be done
to strengthen regulatory cooperation between the UK Financial Services Authority and regulators in the various jurisdictions.
Tony Brown says he will be continuing the Isle of Man's discussions with Mr Foot in London, later this week.
