The Isle of Man may have been whitelisted by the OECD, but the work goes on to promote it as a place to do business.
That was the response of Chief Minister Tony Brown to a question in Tynwald today, from North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson.
Mr Henderson wanted to know what the government was doing to promote itself following the seal of approval from the OECD.
Mr Brown said it wasn't a time for the Island to sit on its laurels, despite the vote of confidence:
"The OECD whitelist, arising from G20, acknowledges our delivery in terms of this policy.
"Whilst the Island being whitelisted provides welcome endorsement to the approach the Isle of Man has been pursuing for almost a decade, it is also important to recognise that this is just the latest development in an evolving situation.
"We cannot afford to be complacent and we must continue, therefore, to maintain our focus and drive to identify and position the Island in relation to the emerging international standards and, thus, the changing markets."
