It's Lymphoedema Awareness Week

by isleofman.com 21st April 2009

A new service providing specialised care for Isle of Man residents with lymphoedema will be highlighted over the next few days.

It’s National Lymphoedema Awareness Week and Solar Care IoM is promoting awareness of the condition.

Various events are taking place, including an awareness day at the Strand Shopping Centre on Saturday (April 25).

Lymphoedema is swelling which can occur anywhere in the body due to fluid collecting in the tissues when the lymphatic system isn’t working efficiently.
