by isleofman.com 20th April 2009

Peel lifeboat went to help 14 people on board a chartered boat last night.

The crew was called out at 8.45pm to assist the Manx Seaquest, which had suffered engine failure as it travelled from Strangford to Peel.

It was around eleven miles away from Peel when the lifeboat arrived to tow it to safety.

A spokesman for the lifeboat said the vessel arrived in port just after 11pm, and all 14 passengers and crew were unharmed by their experience.
