An inquest has heard how a 20 year-old man from Foxdale died from asphyxia due to hanging.

Jonathan Neill's body was found at the old railway lines near Ballanass during the evening of April 2.

Consultant pathologist Christopher Clague noted in his report to the court that Mr Neill suffered from mental health issues.

Mr Neill was pronounced dead at the scene and his father identified his body two days later.

Coroner Michael Moyle adjourned the inquest to allow further enquiries to take place.
