Young Actor of Mann on the secret of his success

A St Ninian's High School student has wowed judges with his powerful performances, to scoop the title Young Actor of Mann 2009.

Matt Ogden, aged 16, performed two pieces and pipped five other finalists to the first prize, a trophy and a week at a drama school in England.

The award was presented at the Easter Festival of Plays, at the Gaiety Theatre last night.

Matt reckons his ability to learn lines quickly helped him get ahead:
