Police seek possible 'vital witness' in arson case

by isleofman.com 14th April 2009

Officers are appealing for a teenager to come forward after a car was set alight in Douglas last week.

The incident happened on Wednesday (April 8) in Saddle Road.

Officers investigating the blaze are asking for a boy aged between 15 and 17 to contact them after he hired a taxi to Lord Street in Douglas shortly before 1am the same day.

He is described as being 5' 6" tall, of quite stocky build with neatly cut short, light mousey-blonde hair which may have been "streaked".

He wore a brown and grey crew neck jumper and jeans.

Detectives say he's not thought to be involved in the fire, but may be a vital witness.

If you know him, or have any information on the incident, you can contact Onchan Police Station on 675190 or the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 088 555 111.
