Extra sessions important for innovative event - Quayle

The minister for tourism and leisure is hopeful extensions to practice sessions for this year's TT will not cause problems for commuters travelling home from work.

Martyn Quayle has been speaking following the announcement an extra hour will be added to the evening practices from Tuesday, June 2 to Friday, June 5.

The move is to allow exclusive sessions for the TTXGP, the groundbreaking 'clean emissions' motorcycle race which is being staged for the first time.

There are concerns marshals may have difficulties getting to their stations in time, but Mr Quayle told Manx Radio that will be taken into account:
