Baptism on the Beach makes a big splash!

Easter Sunday's Baptism on the Beach at Peel Bay is expected to attract interest from churches in the United Kingdom, and further afield.

Twenty new Christians were baptised in the sea by Bishop Robert Paterson, in front of large crowds in glorious weather on Sunday afternoon.

It followed an open air concert on the beach which brought together congregations from a wide range of Christian denominations around the Island.

Many who watched took photos and videos to post on the internet, and Bishop Robert hopes it will become a regular event.
