Object on beach posed no threat

by isleofman.com 13th April 2009

Police say an object found in Laxey yesterday was harmless.

Part of the beach was cordoned off for about an hour at around lunchtime, after the item was found in the water.

It was first thought to be potentially dangerous and all the usual precautions were taken while steps were taken to find out what it was.

But after a short time it was confirmed it was completely harmless, and the beach was reopened.
