Minister says DHSS is reducing waiting lists

by isleofman.com 8th April 2009

At the end of last month there were 36 and 22 patients respectively waiting for knee and hip replacements in the Isle of Man.

Health Minister Eddie Teare gave the figures in a written reply to a House of Keys question.

He also assured North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson his department was working to reduce the numbers.

Mr Teare said that was currently being done by carrying out one extra operation a week, in the evening.
