Police hunt owner of abandoned crutches

by isleofman.com 8th April 2009

Police are investigating an attempted burglary in Port St Mary after a gang of teenagers entered an unlocked garage on The Underway and damaged a car.

It happened at around 8.30pm on March 27, but details have only just been released.

Three or four youngsters, believed to be 14 or 15 years old, caused minor damage to the back of the blue Suzuki Swift by pushing it out of the garage.

The teenagers were disturbed by a member of the public and ran off, heading down The Underway towards Port St Mary promenade.

A pair of crutches were left at the scene and police are urging anyone whose child came home without their crutches that Friday night to get in touch.

Anybody with information is asked to contact Castletown police on 822222 or the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
