The Manx Electricity Authority is again being asked to promote renewable energy.
Members of the Transition Isle of Man group have handed over more than 400 cards from residents calling on the MEA to make more use of renewable sources.
Coordinator for Isle of Man Friends of the Earth Phil Corlett told Manx Radio the message is clear:
"The campaign will go on and people can sign these leaflets off our website if they want - that's isleofmanfoe.org.im - but it's pushing renewable energy for the Island.
"[It's about] getting away from fossil fuels, because we are concerned about 'peak oil', costs for the Island, [and] future energy supplies.
"A lot of what you hear about now is energy security.
"We think the Island is surrounded by sea, [with potential for] tidal and wind power [and] we could make more use of it."
Meanwhile, MEA chairman Quintin Gill says the authority recognises the concerns:
"We are very pleased to receive the notices from Friends of the Earth and we fully value and acknowledge and recognise the sincerity of their argument, and their case that they put forward.
"We don't entirely agree with it, but what we do absolutely accept in the MEA is that we don't have a monopoly on good ideas.
"We always accept listening to other views when they are reasoned and reasonable and we think this exercise, in the main, very much ticks those boxes."
