'No redundancies' assurance from minister

The education minister is confident she can make savings in her department and has told the House of Keys no staff will be made redundant.

Replying to a question from Onchan MHK Peter Karran, Anne Craine said money would be saved by tightening budgets.

There was concern there would be no extra money from Treasury via supplementary votes, but Mrs Craine said funds could be found without cutting back on services:
