by isleofman.com 7th April 2009

Onchan MHK Peter Karran will ask whether Manx customs officers could be stationed on Steam Packet vessels, during question time in the House of Keys today.

Among other items for oral answer, Michael member David Cannan has a question about undersized scallops, and North Douglas MHK John Houghton will ask how many prisoners from the North West of England are on remand, awaiting trial and sentence, at Jurby prison.

The Terrorism Finance Bill and the Advocates (Amendment) Bill are down for second and third reading respectively.

In the Legislative Council, Eddie Lowey has questions about what he calls 'down market' advertising in the Villa Marina Colonnade and he wants to know what's happening to two planned developments in the Lord Street area of Douglas.

George Waft has a question relating to birth defects in children and Juan Turner has one on fixed penalty fines.

The Gender Recognition Bill is down for second reading and the Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation Bill has been passed up to LegCo from the Keys.

The sitting of the House of Keys is from 10am and there will be live coverage of question time on Manx Radio's 1368 AM frequency.

The sitting of the Legislative Council starts half an hour later.
