Support for bowel cancer sufferers

by isleofman.com 4th April 2009

A new charity on the Island aims to offer support and advice to bowel cancer sufferers.

Bowel Cancer Isle of Man has been set up to raise awareness of symptoms so the disease can be diagnosed early.

The charity also wants to see the introduction of screening in the Isle of Man to increase a patients chance of survival.

Chairman of Bowel Cancer Isle of Man, Heather Norman, was treated for the illness eight years ago and hopes her story can show others it can be beaten.
