Police probe arson in school grounds

Police are treating an incident where a vehicle was found on fire as arson.

A silver Land Rover Freelander Discovery was found ablaze at about 1am on Saturday in the grounds of Ashley Hill Primary School in Onchan.

The vehicle had been taken from a driveway on Briarfield Avenue in Onchan between 8.30pm and 9.10pm on Friday.

The car was completely gutted as a result of the fire.

The blaze was extinguished quickly by the fire brigade.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen the car, registration number HMN 321W, being driven last night.
