Drug officers in cocaine swoop

by isleofman.com 3rd April 2009

Cocaine with a street value of ?21,000 has been seized by police.

A 21 year-old man from Union Mills and a 23 year-old man from Douglas were arrested in connection with the seizure and they remain in custody this morning (Friday) helping with enquiries.

It's the second significant amount of cocaine in a week.

DS Allan Thompson says the haul underpins officers' commitment to preventing harmful drugs hitting the streets.

Anyone who has any information or concerns regarding the use of or dealing of drugs is asked to contact the drug trafficking unit at Police Headquarters on 631212.
