Two emergency call outs in swift succession closed Ronaldsway Airport for about an hour this morning.
A light aircraft got into difficulties just before 9am and then an Eastern Airways flight also had problems.
Airport Director Anne Reynolds told Manx Radio what happened:
"The first one landed at 8.53, the second emergency, the Eastern Airways Jetstream 41 aircraft that was coming in from Birmingham, that had actually closed down its left-hand engine, as a precaution, and it landed at 9.37am.
"Both aircraft landed normally and properly and there were no injuries. There were just two crew on the first aircraft and on the other there were passengers and crew."
Emergency crews which had been preparing to leave after the first incident stayed in position for the second.
