An open verdict has been recorded at an inquest into the death of a Douglas man who died from bronchopneumonia.
Thomas Christopher Patrick Dowling passed away earlier this month, a few days after breaking his leg in a fall on a staircase at a friend's flat in James Street.
On admission to hospital, Mr Dowling had a blood alcohol level of 409 milligrams per 100 millilitres, more than five times the drink-drive limit.
Complications arose following an operation and Mr Dowling died four days after he received the injury.
Coroner Michael Moyle recorded an open verdict, because no witnesses could confirm the fall was an accident.
