The Pearsons of Port Erin, who compete internationally in karate and kickboxing, are the latest Island sports stars to receive a sponsorship boost from Sure.
Neil Pearson, a Black Belt 6th Dan, is a chief instructor for the Isle of Man world team, while wife Sara and son David are currently training to gain Black Belt 2nd Dan.
To support the Pearson team, Sure is providing them with two BlackBerry Curve 8900 handsets on a 12 month European Data roaming contract, which will allow them to keep in touch with family and friends, as well as the business side of their careers.
The family holds eight world titles and eighteen world medals between them; all three are qualified referees in all aspects of the sport, at all levels. They are now promoting championship events in the UK and have set up a deal to promote the WTKA World Karate/Kickboxing Association European championships in 2009.

The Pearsons teach male and female pupils on the Island from four years of age and upwards; over the years, their teams have won every contest possible in male, female, junior, senior, weapons and team events. Neil is the current World Team Director, Sara, the World Team Manager, and David, the team’s coach/Captain.

In addition to the Pearson family, Sure also sponsors five time TT winner and current British F2 Sidecar champion Nick Crowe, double World Enduro and US Grand National Cross Country champion David Knight, current British Olympic Association Snowsport Athlete of the Year, Zoe Gillings, the Sure Mobile Premier League and Sure Mobile Combi One, and Sidecar Races A and B at the Isle of Man TT.
