Police have been given more time to interview a 34 year-old local man, currently being held in Douglas on suspicion of murder, and arson with intent to endanger life.

He was arrested at the end of last week as investigations continued into a fatal blaze in Demesne Road, in which 61 year-old builder Terry Losh lost his life.

Officers have been investigating a series of four fires in the area, wnich they believe were started deliberately.
