Rubbish on Keys agenda!

by isleofman.com 29th March 2009
A Douglas North MHK says he's worried the new tip in Bride will be used for dangerous substances such as asbestos.

Bill Henderson has a question in the House of Keys next week on the issue which he says he's positively against.

He wants answers from the Chief Minister to see what safety measures will be put in place and also wants to know how long such materials will remain hazardous.

The new site has caused quite a stir with Ayre MHK Eddie Teare asking for plans to be thrown out but without success.

Mr Henderson says the idea needs to be thought through.
