Danielle raising funds for Tanzania HIV trip

A young Manx medical student is preparing to spend two months in Africa teaching awareness of AIDS and HIV.

Nineteen year-old Danielle O'Neill grew up in Farmhill, Douglas and is studying medicine at Southampton University.

She needs to raise ?1,800 for the trip to Tanzania this summer and will work with the charity Support for International Change.

Danielle, who is back home at the moment as part of her Easter break, says the people she encounters are unlikely to know much about the disease:
