Island signs tax agreements with France

Treasury Minister Allan Bell has spoken of the importance of two tax cooperation agreements which have been signed by the Isle of Man and French governments.

During yesterday's ceremony, he said they indicated both a new collaborative working relationship between the two countries and a shared position regarding international tax cooperation.

Mr Bell told the French delegation the Island had regulatory systems which met international benchmark standards, and understood and accepted the obligations resulting from its role as a small but significant financial centre:
