How do your access your doctor?

by isleofman.com 25th March 2009
Letters have been sent out to some NHS patients in the Island asking them to take part in a survey relating to access to their GP.

A similar survey took place in 2007 and 2008.

In previous years patients on the Island have been quite keen to take part.

People who have received the form are being encouraged to complete and return it as the process is seen as an opportunity to feedback any views.

The survey looks at several things - the availability of telephone advice, the ability to get an appointment with a GP within 48 hours and ability to book an appointment with a specified GP.

The results will be used to identify where access can be further improved.
