Charity Challenge winner to be decided

A gala presentation night for the climax of Manx Charity Challenge 2009 is being held at the Manx Museum this evening.

Teams from all the Island's secondary schools, Isle of Man College and King William's, are competing before a panel of judges, to win both the coveted title and grants for their chosen charity.

The evening is the grand final of what's been a hard-fought competition, both within and between school teams of Year 12 pupils.

The idea is to research the work of a Manx-based charity and find out how donations actually improve the lives of those they are meant to help.

This evening the teams perform their presentations, with each one getting a grant from the H and S Davidson Trust.
