A section of the main road from Douglas to Peel was closed for two hours yesterday, following an accident by the Crosby hotel.
A car turned over onto its roof, blocking the route in both directions.
However, police say the elderly, female driver escaped injury.
The closure was necessary to clear the road of debris and it reopened at about 5pm.
