Fire crews tackle Demesne Road flat blaze

Fire crews were called out to what is described as a major fire at a flat on Demesne Road in Douglas in the early hours of this morning.

The 999 call came through to the Emergency Services Control Room at around 4.10 this morning and 3 pumps and an aerial platform attended.

Assistant Divisional Officer John Murtagh describes what happened:
