Karran's heavy metal concerns

There are concerns that material being dredged from the River Mersey for use in the airport extension project at Ronaldsway may be contaminated.

In the House of Keys on Tuesday, Liberal Vannin leader Peter Karran will ask if the rocks are tainted with levels of heavy metals and toxins.

He says the Mersey has a history of contamination by substances such as mercury, and he wants to make sure the job is done properly:
