Podium for Gillings

by isleofman.com 20th March 2009
Zoe Gillings has finished third at the final round of the Snowboardcross World Cup at Valmalenco in Italy.

Yesterday, the 23 year-old from Ronague qualified as fourth fastest for this morning's quarter-finals.

Zoe then made it through to the big final four race.

Her third place equalled her best result of the nine round season - Zoe made it onto the podium at the fourth race of the series at Bad Gastein in Austria.

The Manx girl went into today's event in seventh place in the overall standings, but the 600 points gathered have moved her up to fifth sport at the end of the campaign.
