New head looks forward to challenges of bigger school

The start of the new academic year in September will see a change at the top at Peel Clothworkers' School.

Simon Jones will take over the position of headteacher, leaving his current post at Victoria Road in Castletown.

He's been there for nearly four years, having moved to Island from the United Kingdom.

Peel Clothworkers' is nearly twice the size of Victoria Road, and Mr Jones is looking forward to the challenges of a larger community school.

He became a headteacher in 1990, and says that was a time of great change:
